Marriage Enrichment Class                                                                      Faith Temple Assembly Church                                                                                                    Couples Sunday School Class                                                                                               Teacher: Denise Goetjen         Sundays 9:45 a.m.

Vision/Purpose for This Class:

To provide a meeting place for couples, married and engaged, to study together issues relating to marriage and relationships.  To encourage couples to seek God for His will and plan for a better, more fulfilling marriage.

My intention is not to tell you what you have to do to make your marriage work, although I hope you will discover that in the process.  No one should ever feel pressured to speak out if that is uncomfortable for you.  However, I hope that you will share your success stories, and we all might be able to learn from each other.

No two marriages are the same.  We all have different circumstances and personalities.  My marriage may not be a model for yours.   But something shared by another in the class may be a help in your situation.

Although some humor may be used in reference to marriage, husbands, wives, etc., the purpose of the class will always strive to be a positive message to help lift up and strengthen each person individually and as a couple.

I believe:

Marriage was instituted by God.

Marriage is the foundation of society.

Marriage is a serious commitment between a man and woman, not to be taken lightly, but handled with care.

Marriage is a lifetime contract.
